Altered Candle

This is a good quick and easy gift idea. I bought inexpenive candles and candle holders covered the candle in Card Stock and Designer Series Paper added a ribbon and VOILA!- a quick and easy gift. For an extra special touch you can wrap it in cello and put a bow to tie the top.

Box #2

Here are the favors I gave at my workshop this weekend. I filled them with some shredded paper and choclate, of course.
I made the box using the Box #2 die for the Big Shot. It is so simple to assemble this box. All you need is to crease the designated lines and add one piece of sticky tape. Then you decorate it however you want. I used a lot of the free SAB items for this box:
Recipe:
Paper: So Saffron, Delicate Dots (SAB)
Stamps: Yummy (SAB)
Ink: Choclate Chip
Ribbon: Certainly Celery
To order these favors for your event, please email me at (916)849-5393. I can customize them for your colors and theme.

Nugget Boxes

I made these cute little nugget boxes as favors for my workshops this month. The are light mini matchboxes with candy inside. They take a little time to make but I think look great in the end. All you need is candy, a good paper cutter and scorer blade, paper and ribbon.
Please email me if you would like instructions on how to make these boxes or if you would like to order some for your event.

Mini Cards

I've been so busy the last two weeks getting ready for my workshops this month. Normally, prepping for workshops only takes an hour or so. This month I wanted to stock up on little gifts to give out for people attending my workshops that either brought a friend or booked a future workshop.

Anyway, one of my gifts is this 4 pack of mini cards. I used several items so I won't be posting a recipe. For stamps I used "Say it With Scallops" and an old retired hostess set for the True Friend Blue card. The DSP that I used was Delicate Dots, Bella Birds, and Parisian Breeze Specialty. I love the way these look in their little packaging. The girls that I gave them to last weekend really seemed to like them. I will have lots to post this week, so stay tuned.

Oval All: Best Wishes

Here are a couple of cards using the new Oval All set from the upcoming Mini Occasions Catalog (available April 1st). The first card also says Best Wishes, but in So Saffron. I really like this set. I used it with the new scallop punch that is also in the Mini Occassions. The UPS man delivered the set about an hour ago and I have already made these two samples and preped a bunch for my upcoming workshops. I love fast, easy and cute cards!

Easter Scrapbook Pages

Here are a couple pages I whipped up using the Delicate Dots Paper, So Saffron CS and ribbon, Bashful Blue CS , and Whisper White Ribbon. I also used for accent the scallop circle punch and scallop edge and the Big Shot Top Note Die.

I am mostly into fast but nice scrapbook pages that don't take too much time. I think that it is important to make my girls albums look pretty but with so many photos I have to move quickly!
Have a great weekend!

Fifth Avenue Floral, Wedding Style

I was experimenting last night with some wedding items using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. I came up with an invitation (inspired by Kirsten Kennedy's wedding card), an RSVP card, and a few favors. I used the Big Shot Top Note, Curly Label, and Box #2 die for the Big Shot. I loved everything in my wedding but sometimes I wish I could do it again with all of this great SU stuff!
Please contact me to order any of the items on this wedding blog at mayramt@hotmail.com

I love this set and the greeting that comes with it. In the last few days I have been trying to come up with a few cards to do a my workshops this month. Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Flight of the Butterflies

Ink: Choclate Chip, Certainly Celery, So Saffron

You Only Live Once...

This weekend I babysat my neices and nephews and made a few projects while they were here. This purse was inspired by Kirsten Kennedy's purse that she shared with us during our Luv2Stamp Meeting. I got the step by step instructions from Kay Sha's blog (thank you for the instructions). You can view them at http://creationsonpaper.blogspot.com/2009/02/thank-you-purse-and-cards.html I plan to fill this purse with some cards and giving it away as a small gift.

This one she all by herself. Jocelyn, 10, picked the colors and put it all together. She is a little crafter in the making. It is a lot of fun having her over and making cute projects.

I am not sure if you can tell but the So Saffron papers is textured using the Big Shot Backgrounds I texturz plates. Texturizing the paper really gives it an elegant look.

Paper: Bella Birds DSP, So Saffron

Accessories: Big Shot Texturz Plate: Backgrounds I, Jumbo Brads

New Spring Stamp Sets Available for Preorder Now

The Occassions Mini Catalog will not be available for another month. However, SU is allowing customers to preorder Easter/Spring Stamp Set so that you can start working on your projects. I really like that 2/3 stamp sets include greetings for Easter and other holidays (Fathers Day, Graduation, Birthdays, etc.). That way your set is more versatile and your investment can be used for several occasions.
Contact me if you would like to order these.

Inside of Delicate Dots Mini Book

This is an inside shot of the Delicate Dots Mini Book. Sorry, the picture is not that great. This is the book completly open and it folds closed. It was really easy to make and can be customized for any theme or occasion.

Delicate Dots Fold Out Album

Here is an album that I made last weekend at my Luv2Stamp Group Meeting. The inside has four fold out pages for pictures. I think I am going to make this into a spring Easter mini album of my girls at Easter last year. We had so many good photos that they deserve their own mini book for them. I can't wait for our egg hunt this year. Both of my girls are old enough to participate and I know they will love it.

This album was used with the Delicate Dots DSP, a free product during Sale-a-Bration with $50 order. The ribbon is So Saffron, also a free SAB product. The front green photo mat is the "Top Note" from the Stampin' Up! Big Shot line. I had trouble loading the photos of the inside of this album. I will try again later and repost them.
