Flower Pot Card

I seen these cards made from several stampers in my stampin team. I loved them and had to try them. I initially thought that they would be a perfect Mother's Day Card. Really, they can be used for lots of occasions. Here are a couple I made. They were easy especially since I used the embosslit Simple Flower die for my Big Shot. You can also get a similar look using your own flower stamps and then cuting out the flower. The flowers actually pull out with a card for you to write your message. You can find instructions on how to make this card at http://sluman.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2009/01/25/flower-pot-pocket-card/ .
You can order a make it yourself kit from me for $7 for 3 cards, plus shipping. You can email me at mayramt@hotmail.com for order instructions.

Easy Father's Day Card

June will be here before you know it!

Here is a super simple Father's Day Card. It is hard for me to come up with simple, manly cards, but I think this one passes. I used the All Holidays stamp set, the ink is Baja Breeze, I used Choclate Chip, Kraft, and Baja Breeze CS and the DSP is Parisian Breeze Specialty.
I am not sure if you can tell but the top Baja Breeze CS is texturized using the Texturz plates Stampin' Up! Backgrounds #1 for the Big Shot.

Please give me your feedback on the next stamp/scrap event

I am trying to plan a Stamp/Scrap social for May or June and would like your input in the format, date, time for it. I am planning an event for Elk Grove and one for Modesto. Please email me your answers to the following questions:

- What day/time do you prefer: Friday 6-9, Saturday 10-1 or Saturday 5-8
- Would you like to see a low cost "bring your own projects to work on" format. I would bring my stamps and other materials (other than paper) for you to use and try. Or would you prefer to have planned projects created by me?
- What projects do you enjoy making: cards, scrap pages, gifts, or other?
- Do you have any reccomendations on a location for this event? It can be a resturant with a private or semi-private room or any other place that would accomadate 6-10 people and have tables for us to work on.
- Are there any dates that you would like me to stay away from? (I may not be able to accomadate everyone but I will try).

Thank you so much for your input. I will keep you posted on the next event.

Some Inspiration from my Stampin' Team

Last weeks was very busy for us. First it was preparing for Easter and then two Easter celebrations in different cities. I think we drove for at least 3 hours that day going from place to place. Then, we were busy getting our backyard done and ready for spring. We are finally done! -kindof. Then, I was busy doing some favors for a cousin's first communion (I will post these after the event in May).

So... I have not been able to make anything to post. However, in February I went to a stampin meeting with my Luv2Stamp Group and took lots of pictures of the ladies work. These were all on sharing tables so unfortunately I don't have any names with them to give credit. There are lots of different card, gift, and a scrap page formats to get some inspiration from. I hope to post some new projects by Wednesday.

Post It Holder & Pen Set

I love to make cute, inexpensive gifts. This post it holder and pen set was made as a give away for my workshops last month. The post it holders were made using cardboard coasters (pretty inexpensive) and the pens are RSVP pens covered with DSP, Sticky paper, a heat gun and microbeads from SU.
