Monogram Card Holder

Hello! This was one of our club projects. It is a card holder. When you open it (see below) you can see that it holds 4 cards on one side and 4 envelopes on the other side. I got the idea from my downline Alisha and loved it! I decided to do monogram note cards for this card holder. However, you can do birthday cards or thank you cards for this holder and decorate the front to match your cards.

To do this holder you need one 8.5 X 11 sheet. It is scored at 5.5 down the middle of the long side and scored at 2 1/4 on the shorter side. The inside pocket was glued on the outer side with snail adhesive and on the inside it was cut at an angle. When you close the holder punch holes on each of the sides for the ribbon and thread it through to close.
Here is a close up of the monogram cards I did to go inside. This card was done using the Bashful Blue cardstock, designer series paper, basic gray cardstock and whisper white cardstock. The stamp set is Monogram Sweet and I also used the scallop circle punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch.

I will try to do better directions for this or maybe a video! - soon. Let me know what you think or if you want more detailed instructions (it will make me do it faster!).

November Stamp Club Projects

Good Evening! My stamp club just ended and as always we had such a great time. It is nice to see the same group of women every month and get to know everyone. Plus, the stamp members get extra perks such as special discounts, free products, free monthly classes and a really good time with friends.

Here are the projects that we did tonight. I will post each of them individual with instructions in the next few days.

Want to know more about joining a stamp club? Contact me at (916) 849-5393 or email me at mayramt@hotmail.com. In a nutshell, a club consists of 6 people and runs for 6 months. Every month we get together and I provide 4-5 make and takes and teach different techniques at each club meeting. Every month a different member serves as the host. The host brings the snacks and gets the SU hostess benefits for that month. At the very minimum the hostess will get a free stamp set and at least $15 in free merchandise. Tonight the hostess got a free stamp set and $40 in free merchandise!! Each member commits to ordering a minimum of $25 of SU merchandise a month.

Coworker Gift Idea #3: SU Treat Boxes

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your cup of coffee, I am! Here is another coworker gift idea. Sorry, about the bad picture quality. My camera sucks! I hope Santa reads my blog and see that I depserately want a new camera for Christmas ;)

Okay, the gift: SU Treat Box.

This is what Rachel Ray would call "semi-homemade". First you buy these boxes from SU. They are inexpensive 3.95/for 5, # 115690. The come plain like this:

Then you add some ribbon and a cute tag. You can fill this with anything: choclate, baked goods, a gift card, jewlry or another small item. Here is what I am going to do. I am going to buy a buy jug of choclate covered almonds from my local warehouse store for $8.99. Put some choclate almonds in clear baggies, maybe add a baked item...and voila... a good coworker gift.

Here is the recipe for this:

Stamps: Delightful Decorations (#116517, $21.95/stamp set of 7)

Ink: Real Red, Old Olive

Ribbon: Real Red 5/8" Ribbon (#109052/ $7.95 for 15 yards), twine

Accessories: Treat Boxes ($3.95/for 5, # 115690), vintage brads, ornament punch

Have a great weekend!

Coworker Gift Idea #2: Stamped Candles

Here is my "Coworker" Gift idea #2: Stamped Candles! Grab a cup of coffee and read on...

In case you didn't read my last post, here is my definition for coworker gift. By Coworker Gift I also mean neighbor, teacher, friend, classmate, or any other person you want to give a little something to without spending too much money.

Okay, to todays project. All you need for this project is a heat tool, stamps, ink, wax paper and tissue paper. I further embelleshed this candle by adding a piece of cardstock at the base of the candle with a ribbon tied on it. The candle holder cost me $1.50 at a local discount store and the candle cost me $1.50 at a local grocery discount store. I look for deals!

In a nutshell, to make this project you stamp your images on tissue paper, cut it out, lay it onthe candle, wrap a strip of wax paper over the candle and then use the heat gun to set the image.

For detailed instructions, place a SU order and I will give you step by step detailed instructions.
Don't forget to mention that you want these free instructions with your order.

These are really easy to make and always have a "wow-you made this!" factor.

Coworker Gift Idea #1: Handmade Treat Boxes

Hello Everyone,

I am so sick this week, but not too sick to think about stampin'!

All week I am featuring "Coworker Gifts". But, when I say Coworker I also mean- neighbor, teacher, friend, basically anyone you want to show your appreciation to this holiday season without spending too much money.

Here is a project that I love to make. It is a treat box that is big enough to fit baked goods, choclate, or another small gift. This box has a nice wow-you made this factor and is the perfect size to fill with treats. To make this box all you need is:
  • Cardstock
  • Paper Cutter w/scoring blade
  • adhesive
  • scallop edge punch
  • ribbon

I also used the following to make the snowflake tag to go on the front of it:

  • Circle punches
  • Serene Snowflakes stamp set
  • Rinestone brad
  • Scallop Circle punch

Want the directions for this box? Simply make a SU purchase this month and I will email you the instructions. Make sure to request these instructions with your order.
