Technical Difficulties

Hello Everyone!

I have had the best last stamping month. I went to a team meeting from my Luv 2 Stamp group and learned so much. I also attended the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Reno and learned lots more new techniques. I have lots and lots of samples to share with you, but I CAN'T! My computer caught a bug and I am working on getting it fixed. In the meantime I am dying to show you lots of new cool stamping projects. Isn't it funny how the world stops now a days without technology!! Please visit me again soon and hopefully I will be up and running again.

In the meantime, my next Stamp a Stack is coming up- Friday, April 2 at 6pm in Elk Grove, CA. Please click here for more details and to register.

Happy Easter Projects

Easter is around the corner, can you believe it! For my last class I prepared a few Easter projects. I was going to do traditional bunny or egg projects, but then decided to do a little more elegant Easter projects. What do you think? I might revisit the bunny and egg thing later, stay tuned! The baskets are made using a Big Shot die called Baskets and Blooms. When I first got the die, I did not like it. Then I discovered that I was not using it correctly. When I used it right, I loved it! The die cuts all of the pieces (3) and all you have to do is glue them together and embellish! I love my Big Shot!

Here is the recipe for the two projects above:

Paper: So Saffron CS, Certainly Celery CS, Whisper White CS, Pretty in Pink CS
Ink: Choclate Chip, Certainly Celery, Versa Mark Ink
Stamps: Well Scripted (Occassions Mini), Fifth Avenue Floral
Accessories: Baskets and Bloom- Big Shot die, Wide Oval Punch, Flower Punch (non-SU), Dimensionals, Brads, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Paper Shred, Choclate Eggs

Sweet Wedding Congratulations Card

A second request for my CSD class was a wedding card. I just love weddings and had the perfect stamp set in mind to use. This set is called "Wedding Sweet". It is the perfect set to make your own wedding invitations or anything else wedding related. I am not sure if you can see it, but, I added a little sparkle to the card with SU's dazzling diamonds. It gives it an extra special touch. In the next few months I will be posting more wedding items. But, for now here is the congratulations card and the recipe:
Paper: Bashful Blue CS, Choclate Chip CS, Whisper White CS
Ink: Choclate Chip,
Stamps: Wedding Sweet
Accessories: Choclate Chip Satin Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Two Way Pen, Dazzling Diamonds

Spinner Card

Last month at my CSD class, I had a special request: a spinner card. I drew a blank and ran home to google "spinner card". For those of you who are drawing a blank too, a spinner card has a circular object on it that spins when you tilt the card. Pretty cool right!

So...here it is, my version of a spinner card. You need two pennies and dimensionals to make it spin. It is really easy to make! You can click here to see a video tutorial for the spinner card.

Here is the recipe for my card:

  • Paper: Basic Gray CS, Thoroughly Modern DSP, Bermuda Bay CS, Whisper White CS
  • Stamps: Starring
  • Ink: Bermuda Bay
  • Accessories: Word Window Punch (you can also use exacto knife to make the horizontal opening, 2 Pennies, dimensionals, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch

Notes: To make spinner, add a dimensional to your scallop circle, then add a penny, add another dimensional and a final penny. Insert the finished spinner in word window

March CSD Class

I held my monthly CSD (Elk Grove Parks and Recreation) class on Friday. We made a total of 11 projects (shown above) in just 3 hours. We had some people in the group that have been stamping for some time now, but two people were completly new to stamping and paper crafting. They did great! After a short intro to stamping and project demos, they were off making beautiful cards and projects on their own. I hope they join us next month.

If you have never attended the CSD class, you are missing out! We make 10-12 projects in 3 hours! Plus, I demonstrate new techniques every month and provide all of the materials. Click here to learn more about the CSD classes and to see the schedule.

Stay tuned all week for LOTS of project ideas! I did lots of stamping this weekend and can't wait to share it with you!
