Notepad Holders with SU File Folders

Happy Friday!

Last night I had my Elk Grove, CA stamp club. This was our first club "meeting" after a month off and I made everyone one of these as a 'Thanks for coming back' gift. It is a Folder Note Pad Holder made using Stampin' Up!'s file folders. The file folders are so thick it looks like a journal. They come in a pack of 12 and come in lots of fun colors.

Here is the inside:

They have a notepad inside and for my club members I tucked in some coupons on the side. They were super easy to make. I got the idea and instructions from Patty Bennett. You can click here to see the instructions.

Give it a try. I think these would make great teacher and coworker gifts.

Have a good weekend!

Baby Season!

Hello Ladies,

It is baby season! It seems like every other person I know is pregnant or just had a baby. So, I was inspired to make baby projects. I have a ton of backed up scrapbooking to do so I ordered a wheel from SU to use in my scrapbooking projects.

This is my new favorite thing! If you have never used a wheel they are so easy to use. Above you can see the actual wheel cover and the wheel stamp that you insert in the wheel cover. You can create a border or cover an entire page with the same image. You just wheel it around. This wheel coordinates with the Nursery Nessesities stamp set. You can see how I used both below in my Scrap Page, Card, Favor and Girl Card.

Here are the projects. Stay tuned next week for more baby projects.

Milk Carton Favor

Good Morning!
I have a few appointments today, but wanted to share a project I did a few weeks ago. This is made using the Milk Carton Die for the Big Shot by Stampin' Up! The bird is a new punch featured in the Occassions Mini. This is a fast and easy project you can do for a favor or a little treat.
Have a great day!

Brocade Stencil Mother Card

I have been seeing these stencil cards everywhere and have been dying to try one. I have got to say....I am in love with these. As you may or may not know, Stampin' Up! sells decor elements- vinyl wall pieces and stencils. Well of course, brilliant people have been finding more things to do with them other than just put them in your home. This is where this card comes in. I have seen lots of stencil card samples. It was super easy to do! And, this stencil is only $9.95! The big brocade on the card was made by placing a stencil on the card and dabbing some ink on the stencil with a sponge dauber. The trick is to dab straight down and not from side to side.
I made 8 of these for a card swap I am participating in today and it took me about an hour to do them. That is great time, in my opinion!
This is going to be one of my May CSD class projects. I hope you can join me. Here is the recipe:
Ink: Choclate Chip, Crushed Curry
Stamps: Well Scripted, Vintage Vogue
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil-small, Pearls, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals

Reno Regional Projects

I went to Stampin' Up!'s Regional Conference in Reno last month and I have to say...OMG! I learned so much and had so much fun. It was a half day of techniques, training, and lots of make and takes. They even gave us a free stamp set, Vintage Vogue from the Occassions Mini (available until April 30).

This is one of my new favorite sets. I love the classic, vintage look. Here are some of the projects we made at Regional.

This last one is a treat pouch. You can insert a candy bag, tea bag or other treat.
This is just three of the six make and takes that we made. I will try to post the rest soon. We even made a Friends scrapbook layout that was adorable. I can't wait to plug in my photos!
Don't forget to check out the SU Clearance Rack. They have a ton of great deals!
Stay in Touch!

I'm back and with big news!

Hello Everyone,

I am officially back! For weeks I have been wanting to log on and share with you all of the great projects I have been working on. All next week I will have lots of projects for you to see. For now, I have big Stampin' Up! news to share with you.

Stampin' Up! has introduced a new Color Renovation. What this means is that starting with the new July 2010 catalog, Stampin' Up! will have a brand new color collection. Don't panic, it is actually a good thing. When I first heard about this I freaked out thinking that I was going to loose all of the colors I love. Yes, some colors are retiring, however there are 5 new colors and Stampin' Up! is bringing back 10 past In Colors. I am so excited about the returning In Colors!! I have attached the new and retiring color charts for your review.

If you have favorite colors that are retiring, stock up now. You have until the end of May to order these colors. You can begin to order the new colors in July. I am so excited to have Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette return!!!
