Mommy and Me Class!

I am teaching a Mommy and Me Class at Funtastic Play Center next month. This class will have a couple projects for the kids, then they get to play while mom stamps! It is the best of both worlds. My kids love Funtastic and are always wanting to stamp with me. I can't wait for this class. Click on the picture/flyer for more details.

Pre-registration is required by July 9th. Register early! I have already had several moms express interest.

New Catalog Sneak Peak: Perfect Punches & Vintage Wallpaper

I hope you are all having a great Saturday! I have been enjoying a relaxing day, doing almost nothing. Those are the best!

Last night I was finally able to play around with my new catalog goodies. Here is a card I made using some new colors: Marina Mist and Early Espresso (also shown Old Olive and Crumb Cake). The stamp I used for this card is also from the new catalog, it is called Perfect Punches. Lastly, I used the new embossing folder (for the Big Shot) called Vintage Wallpaper. I love embossing folders! They are so easy to use and really add a "WOW" factor to cards.

Let me know what you think!

Don't forget to preorder your catalog with me by June 18. Preordered catalogs are $5. Otherwise, if you order later it is $9.95.

Have a great weekend!

Orgami T-Shirt Father's Day Card

Hello Again!

For those of you that see hand stamped cards and think "cute, but I am not crafty or creative enough", this is for you. Many, many, many of the projects I make are "cased" from other stampers. All stampers share their projects and learn from one another. This is one of them. I have seen many oragami t-shirt cards. I looked everywere for good instructions and found them at Tiearra's Stampin Corner. This card was super easy to make. Click on the link above and see for yourself. My club girls loved this!

Here is the recipe for this card:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Choclate Chip
Paper: Pawsitively Prints DSP, Brocade Blue CS, Kraft CS, Whisper White CS
Accessories: Brads, Window Punch, Paper Piercer

Try it and let me know what you think!

Double Slider Card

Hello!

I have been trying to experiment with interactive cards. Here one of the projects that we did at club last week. This is a Double Slider Card made with a strip of grocery bag. When you pull the ribbon on top, both the top and the bottom card inserts slide in opposite directions. Pretty cool!!

It was actually pretty easy to make and I only had to do it once to be ready to demonstrate it for my club.

The easiest way to learn how to do this is this type of card is to watch a video tutorial.
I first seen a tutorial of this technique on a video made by Dawn. Click here to see it.
You need:
(1) 5.5 X 11 CS (scored at 3 1/2, 7 1/8, 10 5/8)
(1) 1 1/2 x 12 1/2 strip of plastic grocery bag
(2) Whipser White CS pieces- 3 1/4 x 5 3/4
Stamp set used: Wings of Friendship (Level 2 Hostess set)
The video call for different dimensions than the ones I noted above. I decided to do a shorter card and shortened the dimensions.
Try it! You will be so impressed with yourself when you have completed it;)
Have a great night!

Last Chance Items, Mini Starter Kit Promotion, & more

It is 12:07 am and I am wide awake (thanks to 2 giant cups of coffee). At midnight today (11:00 pm) my time, Stampin' Up! posted a sneak peak at some of their new catalog items that will be released on July 1. They also posted a few lists of retiring items that will be available until June 30, 2010. Some of the retiring items are up to 50% off. So back to me being wide awake. I love seeing new SU products and could not wait for 11pm tonight to see them. I already have a wish list a mile long! LOL

On the left, you can click on the links to see the retiring lists. Let me tell you there is some good stuff in there! As for the sneak peak items, I will have to hold back on sharing these with you until July 1st. It will be hard, but I must;)

Last thing, If you have ever considered becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, this is a great time. You can join for only $99. The $99 pays for a starter kit full of stamps, inks, paper and business materials. It is worth a lot more than you pay for. I started off being a "Demo" for the discount. Lots of people join simply for the discount. Then I did a few workshops and classes and loved sharing stamping with my friends. I do events when I can, on my schedule, and love getting extra cash for....well- STAMPS, of course!

Please email me if you have any questions, to order, or to hear more about becoming a demo for Stampin' Up!
