Stamp Club Projects

I am a little behind with posting projects, but decided to share this picture with you about the projects we made at my last Stamp Club.  Each member made one of each of these projects.  The theme for the month was- Sale-a-Bration.  Each of the projects shown uses some of the free items available during this once a year promotion.

Here is a closer look at one of the projects:

This Note Station was given to me by a downline member, Alisha.  The frame was a dollar find at Ikea and we just filled it with Ice Cream Parlor DSP and embellished it.  One side holds post it notes and the other side can be used as a small dry erase board.  It is a fun and cute item to have on your desk or next to your phone.  I loved it so much I went out and bought LOTS and had my club gals do one for themselves.

More details on the other projects later this week.

Have a great day!

New Blog Banner!

I get so excited when I learn to do something new and especially when it is a "techy" thing.  I just designed and uploaded my very first blog banner.  It was really easy to make with My Digital Studio.  I followed some simple instructions created by Patty Bennett and in less than 10 minutes I was done!  What do you think?!

Click HERE for a link to those instructions.

I love My Digital Studio!

Fox and Friends Baby Shower

Hello Stampin' Friends!

Today I hosted a Baby Shower for a friend of mine from a MOMS group I belong to.  As soon as I heard that her theme was Noah's Ark I knew exactly what I wanted to use for her decorations- Fox and Friends!

This was kind of a short notice shower so I didn't have time to do too many things, but wanted to add a few touches with Fox and Friends throughout the house.

The project above is a gift I made for her.  It is a set of Thank You cards that she can give away.  I remember when I had my two girls, boy did I go through Thank You cards!  The matching box was easy to make and only took one sheet 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock.  I put 8 cards and 8 envelopes in the box.  It was a tight fit, but I was determined to fit 8.  If you create a box set like this I would recommend 6.  I will post those instructions in a future post.

What is a party without favors?  Since this shower was for a fellow MOMS member and would include kids, I catered the favor for the kids.  I used the same Fox and Friends stamp set and made these EASY 2-4-6-8 boxes.

Here is how to make these favors: Take one sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 Cardstock.  On the short side, score at 2 - 4- 6 -8.  Turn vertically and cut down the middle at 5 1/2.  Then score each piece at 1 1/2.  Fold, Cut and Decorate.  It is super easy.  Each 8 1/2 x 11 sheet makes two favors.

I also made cupcake toppers to go along with the theme.

On the buffet area, I added these tents to describe each of the food items.  The tents are simply 4 1/4 x 3 pieces of cardstock folded in half and decorated.
Lastly, I added matching labels on the water bottles.  I forgot to take a picture so I just had one left by the time I remembered.

What do you think?  In the end I was pleased with the last minute decorations I was able to do.  I love this Fox and Friends set and think it makes cute decorations for showers and birthday partys.

Feel free to leave a comment.

What are you stampin' tonight?

Workshop Goodies- part 1

Tonight I am heading over to a new Stampin' friends house for a workshop.  Workshops are a fun way to learn new techniques and for hostesses to earn free products.  To me it feels like a party and so we have to have party favors, right?!  Here are the favors that I created for her workshop.  I used the Matchbox die from the Big Shot to make them.  Then I used my Ice Cream Parlor DSP (free during Sale-a-bration) to cover the choclates.  Lastly, the little tag was made using my absolute new favorite (thougtht I didn't need) stamp set- Tiny Tags!  When I first seen this stamp set I thought, " why do I want to make teeny tiny tags"?  Because they are adorable that's why!  I got this set a week ago and now have to use it for everything!!  Love the Tiny Tags.

Okay, here is a picture of all of my favors lined up.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Next week I will post the projects we will make tonight.  I don't want to ruin their surprise!
