MORE Convention Photos

Are you sick of hearing about Convention, yet!?  I hope not!  There are so many things from it I want to share.  To make it easy for you and me I made an album with some pictures of some of the display boards.  Each display board has dozens of cards/project samples.  Make sure to zoom in so that you can see them up close.

Click HERE to see the Convention Photo Album (one of them, I will post more soon).

Lots of Samples from Convention

ONE of the MANY things I love about Convention is seeing the creative ways that people use to make projects.  Many times I will flip through a catalog and imagine using stamp sets in a set way and then see people use them in a totally different, very creative way.  This is what I felt about the Domestic Goddess Suite.  Although I thought it was cute, I didn't really envision using or buying it.  Well, of course, it is now officially on my wish list.  Take a look at these cute samples and you'll see what I mean.

I love these creative projects, but also the fun soft colors from this DSP set.

Cute, right?!  Let me know what you think.

Trip to the Stampin' Up Home Office

I took a trip to the SU Home Office on Day 2 and was wowed with it.  I want to work there when I grow up!  It was full of ideas, beautiful scenery and looks of displays.  Here are a few pictures:
I have 350+ pictures to share.  I will select the good ones and share some every day this week.  Come back to see more!

Day 1 SU Convention Highlights

So this is my new BFF Shelli!  LOL.  Yes, I was a total groupie today and jumped at the opportunity to take a picture with Stampin' Up's Co-Founder/CEO.  And, YES I even got her autograph.  I tried to act cool like she was any other person but she's not.  She is the genius that created SU and I think she is adorable.  Last year I missed this opportunity so when I seen her posing I dropped my lunch and power walked over there.  LOL

Okay, so that was super fun but there were a lot of fun things today.  First, I got my free stuff:
  • Four Stamp Sets
  • A Really Nice Bag that has a ton of compartments
  • A Binder with the Catalog and Page Dividers
  • A Simple Sent Kit- that they gave away at the end of the day
Another big surprise was that they showed us the new Holiday Mini Catalog that will be release in September.  While I can't show that to you I can show you some projects using some of the new Christmas projects:
Stockings!!! There are lots of stockings in the new catalog including a big shot die that was used to make these.  Aren't these so cute!!!  Can you tell how excited I am over these!!

I had so much fun today and am ready for bed (it's only 7:30!)   but first.....DO YOU WANT TO JOIN ME NEXT YEAR?!  DO YOU WANT TO GET A DISCOUNT ON SU PRODUCTS OR MAKE MONEY OFF OF STAMPS?  Check out this offer...

Join SU  for only $99 this month and also get a free Christmas Kit (shown below with the super cheerful guy).  This is an amazing deal.  You get $300 of merchandise for $99.  Feel free to contact me for more information or you can click on the link to the right.  I will sit down with you or chat on the phone with you, give you information, with absolutely no pressure.
Stay tuned for more in the next day or two.

P.S.  The mobile idea wasn't as great as I thought.  Sorry, I'll have to do my post the old fashioned way ;)

Opening Session at Convention!

After waking up an hour late this morning ( alarm was still on California time) and power walking to Salt Palace, I am here at Convention!

Stamping' Up really knows how to make every individual among thousands feel like they have thrown a party just for you. This is sooo fun! Here is a quick pic (kind of blurry, sorry) of what my view is like.

I'll post more tonight.

Convention Swap #1 & Testing

I am busy packing for Stamping' Up's annual Convention but thought I would take a break to post one if my swaps and test out my new mobile Blogger app.

First, the swap. This Little Additions stamp set is from the new catalog. I loved it the minute I seen it. So my swap number 1 is made with this set. Some people make 200 swaps to take to convention. I am only taking a fraction of that this year. I can't wait to see what I get in exchange.

Testing, well I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures while I am at Convention so I downloaded an app that let's me blog from my phone. Let me know what you think! I know the pictures are not great, but hopefully you will enjoy following along with me on my trip.

Talk to you soon from SLC!!

40 & Fabulous Favors

My sister and I made these Hershey Nugget holders for my other sister's 40 & Fabulous Party. They are just the right size for two chocolates. The paper is not SU since they don't carry anything with a zebra print. However we were happy with how they turned out.

To make these take a 5 x 3 sheet of CS or DSP and score it at 1.5, 2.5, and 4 on the long side. Then embellish it to match your theme. Easy!
