A Carnival Thank You

So now that our party is over we need to send a few thank you's.  I had one in particular I wanted to get out today and decided to do a quick card with the balloons stamp from Patterned Party.  I love that set, but haven't used it much so this was the perfect opportunity.  I colored in all of the ballons, stamped it, stamped 'thank you' added the DSP and I was done...well kindof.  Then I thought I wanted to add another color so I added the dotted scallop below the DSP.  Okay, done....not quite.  Then I realized I had left over traingles that I had punched with the Pennant punch for the invitations.  I added those.  Then I realized I had extra 5's, so I added that.  Then I was pretty pleased with it but the balloons weren't popping out as much as before with all the colors.  So, natuarally I though...Dazzling Diamonds!  I added those with my  2 way pen and FINALLY I was done.

My quick card, turned into a not so quick card, but I was pleased.  My daughter wrote the message on the inside and it was ready for her to give out.   Okay, 1 done, 10 to go...

Have a great day!

Carnival Party featuring the Big Top Suite

My baby turned 5 yesterday and we had a special Carnival party for her.  Lucky for me she picked a Carnival theme right before the release of the new catalog so when we seen the Big Top Suite (pg. 62) in the new book we knew it would be perfect for her party.  She loved it!

So I used the Big Top Birthday designer series paper for a lot of the items I made and used those colors throughout the party.  To create the goody bags and inside of the invitation I purchased the Big Top Embellisments on My Digital Studio and easily made goodie bags, signs for the games, and other accents.

These were the centerpieces.  The "vase" was made using the 2-4-6-8 box measurements and cut at 7".

These were the goody bags designed and made with My Digital Studio.  I printed at home so the best paper I found for these bright colors was glossy photo paper.

This was our cupcake holder.  It is a little lopsided but I just wanted to show you how I used the same DSP to dress it up from the plain white that it came in.
We created games and made signs for all of them using My Digital Studio:

Lastly, I dressed up the water bottles with DSP too.  No picture ;(.

It was a lot making all of these projects and being able to match everything perfectly with the SU products.  My daughter had a lot of fun and loved all her goodies.

Have a great Sunday!

Thank you so, so much

Good Morning!

I have away for a while, but of course I am always stamping. People ask me how I find the time and I always say that if you enjoy it, you will make time.  I stamp about 4-5 nights a week (after my kids bedtime usually).   I just sometimes have a hard time finding the 5 minutes I need to post.  It is one of those things that does not take too much time it is just sitting down to do it.

Okay, enough with the blabbing and to the stamp project.  This is the card that I made for the monthly stamp club I am in.  Here is what I used:

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Best Friends Forever, Decor (wheel)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzaz, Whisper White
Accessories: 1/8 Certainly Celery ribbon

Here is version #2.  Same card idea just my original one.  I think I like the 1st one better.  What do you think?
