Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 Highlights

Well, I am back from Stampin' Up!'s Convention 2012 and I have to say.... WOW.  Stampin' Up! sure knows how to plan a great event.  It was 4 days full of ideas, great presenters and great tips.  Best of all, had so much fun with my friends Carrie and Shawna.  I don't think I have laughed that  much in years!  I was lucky to have such great company doing what we love best...STAMPING!

I took about 400 pictures and will share some of those throughout the week.  But for this post I wanted to share some of my favorite things at Convention:

#1- Stampin, Getting Inspired and having fun with friends.  Here are the three of us at a Make and Take Session.  We are in a bit of a rush to get things done but had to stop and take a quick pic.

#2- Home Office Tour- If you can imagine the perfect place to work where you could have fun, be inspired and in a beautiful building, it would be at the SU Home Office.   At least that is my "perfect" work place vision.  They have several rooms decorated and filled with projects, ideas, and home decor inspiration.  Plus the atrium in the center of the building is a gorgeous place to chat or have lunch.  Here is one of my favorite displays.  I just loved these simple but elegant cards.
#3 Product Displays- There is nothing better than to see the actual products in person.  SU does a great job displaying products with project ideas.  The only problem is that my wish list DOUBLES in size!

#4 Project Display Boards- There are dozens of display boards with dozens of samples on them!

#5 Main Stage Demonstrations- SU staff and guests demonstrate how to make adorable projects using the latest stampin products and techniques.
#6 Card Swaps- I'll post pictures of my favorites later this week.

For now I will leave you with a link to my Home Office Tour Web Album.  Click HERE to view the photos I took of the Stampin' Up! Home Office Tour.

Christmas in July Swap

I just finished a Christmas in July swap and OMG! I am so excited about all the great swaps I received. I'll showcase my favorites on a different post but here they are!

It's all about the Bag

Day 1 at Convention was great! They had a great keynote speaker that was hilarious! He talked about how to reach the "younger" generation and introduce them(us) to Stampin Up. I was laughing and giggling the whole time. But the best part was the Convention bag. Last year the bag was cute, but black. This year it was a fun Daffodil Delight, trendy bag. Take a look.,,

Convention Gifts

Hello!

This is convention week! One of the fun things I did before leaving home was make a couple of convention gifts for my roommates. I did a notepad cover made from a file folder for extra firmness and a little goodie bag. I used the Floral District DSP and Betsys Blooms stamps to dress then up. I'll bring you more pictures and highlights as I can.
